Spring is on the horizon with the return of the first Oystercatcher of 2023 to the Lochan at Glengoulandie Holiday Lodges near Aberfeldy.
Wading birds, normally found on freshwater and seawater locations and on drier ground inland, including pastures, riverside fields and similar areas around flooded gravel workings. They have striking black and white plumage, red/orange eyes and a stunning orange beak. Oystercatchers are regular annual visitors to our Lochan here at Glengoulandie for their breeding season.
