"Mannie Duck"

For the Highlands of Scotland, A Mandarin Duck is not a sight you would expect to see from the windows of Rainbow & Eagle Lodge. For nearly 10 years now, "Mannie" has lived on the Lochan and been the absolute boss of all the Ducks here! On two occasions over the years, a second male Mandarin Duck has visited, however for only a day or two, the last time was in 2018.

Over the last two weeks, "Mannie" has finally been joined by another who would appear to enjoy the twice a day feeds of corn we provide to all the wildfowl here. Fingers crossed he is here to stay 🤞
